Reiki is a Japanese word for Cosmic Energy (laying-on hands healing technique). It is an ancient form of Tibetan healing, rediscovered in the late 1800s by a Japanese Allopathic physician & surgeon, Dr. Mikao Usui. It is a very simple yet powerful technique that can be learnt by anyone.
Reiki is not taught in the way other healing techniques are taught. It is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master during an attunement (initiation) process which opens the energy centers (for healing) creating a special link between the student and the Reiki source forever. After the attunement one can heal himself and others including, plants, animals and all the living organisms. The REIKI energy begins flowing automatically, bringing a change in the whole attitude towards oneself and the world outside, resulting in new life. REIKI IS NOT a form of psychic healing, mind control or a blind belief.
